This guide provides instructions for enabling an ASK4 IT engineer to remotely access your machine for support.
Important: Only follow these steps at the request of an ASK4 IT engineer and ensure all confidential files are closed before starting.

Running the Application (Windows)
- Open a web browser (e.g., Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Safari).
- Navigate to https://ask4rescue.com.
- Enter the five-digit code provided by the ASK4 IT engineer.
- The grey arrow will turn blue. Click on it.
- Download the application ScreenConnectClient when prompted.
- Locate the downloaded file:
- Open it directly, or find it in your Downloads folder (ScreenConnectClient.exe).
- Allow the application to make changes to your PC by clicking Yes.
- Once the application opens, the ASK4 IT engineer will log in to your PC.
- Ensure all confidential files are closed before this step.
Using an Apple Mac
Note: These steps are only required the first time you use the application.
- Follow the initial steps as above to download and open the app.
- You will see a prompt. Click Open to run the app.
- Grant additional permissions:
- Open System Settings when prompted.
- Enable control accessibility by toggling the relevant switch (marked in red).
- Enter your password to confirm changes.
- Close and reopen the ASK4 app:
- Right-click the app in the dock and select Quit, then reopen it from your Downloads folder.
- Allow screen recording when prompted:
- Open System Settings and grant screen recording permissions.
- Enter your password to confirm changes.
- Close and reopen the ASK4 app once more by right-clicking in the dock and selecting Quit, then reopening it from your Downloads folder.
