This guide explains how to use the Horizon PC soft client for calls, managing contacts, voicemail, and other features.

Getting Started
Signing In
- Use your Horizon username and client password, provided by your Company Administrator.
- Optional settings:
- Remember Password: Automatically saves your password for future logins.
- Sign In Automatically: Logs you into Horizon when your PC starts (requires an internet connection).
Forgotten Password
- Visit the Horizon password reset page: Reset Client Password.
- Enter your Horizon username and email address.
- A new password will be emailed to you.
Headsets & Audio Devices
- Ensure your microphone and speaker are correctly set up:
- Use the Settings Cog in the Horizon client.
- Navigate to Audio/Video.
- Configure:
- Headset Output Device: Preferred speaker for calls.
- Headset Input Device: Preferred microphone for calls.
- Speakers Output Device: General PC speakers.
- Speakers Input Device: General PC microphone.
- Level - Ring Device: Select the speaker to ring when receiving calls.
Making and Receiving Calls
Call History
- View all calls made, received, or missed through Horizon.
- Left Arrow: Incoming calls.
- Right Arrow: Outgoing calls.
- Red: Missed calls.
- Black: Connected calls.
- Double-click an entry to call back.
Receiving Calls
- Call notifications appear above the Windows clock.
- Options:
- Accept (Green): Answers the call.
- Decline (Red): Sends the call to voicemail or the assigned busy treatment.
In-Call Features
- Hang Up: Ends the call.
- Hold: Places the caller on hold (may include music).
- Mute: Mutes your microphone.
- Transfer: Transfers the call to another number or extension.
- Conference: Creates a call with up to 4 participants.
- Park: Puts the call on hold for retrieval by other users.
- Merge Calls: Combines two calls into a three-way call.
- Call Pull: Moves an active call to the Horizon client from another device.
Contacts & Directory
Adding Contacts
- Use the + Icon in the top-right of the application to add a contact.
- Enter a Display Name and Personal Phone Details.
Managing Contacts
- Right-click a contact for options:
- Call, email, or edit contact details.
- Add to Favourites or a specific group.
Creating Contact Groups
- Select the + Icon and click New Group.
- Name the group and add contacts by right-clicking and selecting Add to Group.
Voicemail
Visual Voicemail
- Access voicemail under Call History > Voicemail Tab.
- Red icons indicate new messages.
- Options for each voicemail:
- Play, mark as new/read, save, delete, call back, or copy the phone number.
Sensitivity Tags
- Tags like Urgent or Confidential appear on voicemails for priority management.
Settings
Notifications
- Options under Settings > General:
- Confirm before deleting contacts or starting a new call.
Ringtones
- Choose from 10 ringtones under Settings > Audio/Video.
Incoming Calls
- Options include:
- Do Not Disturb: Disables all call notifications.
- Anonymous Call Rejection: Blocks calls from withheld numbers.
- Call Forwarding: Forward calls based on availability.
- Remote Office: Redirect calls to an alternate phone, such as a mobile or landline.
Outgoing Calls
- Options include:
- Block Caller ID: Withhold your number on outgoing calls.
- Highlight to Call: Highlight numbers and use a hotkey to call directly from the client.
Outlook Integration
- Enable search for Outlook contacts under Settings > Extensions.
