Mobile Apps
Installing the App on Your Smartphone
For Android
- Open the Google Play Store on your phone.
- Search for and install the Xelion 8 app.
For iOS
- Open the Apple App Store on your phone.
- Search for and install the Xelion 7 app.
Note: Xelion 8 for iOS is still in development and will be released soon.
For All Devices
- Open the app and tap Allow on any permission requests. The app requires:
- Access to make/receive calls.
- Access to contacts.
- Access to your camera and microphone.
- Tap Continue after granting permissions.
- Enter your mobile phone number.
Note: If you did not provide your number to ASK4, contact the service desk for manual login details.
- Verify your phone number by entering the code sent via SMS.
- You are now logged into the app.
Signing In and Out of the Phone System
- Ensure your status is set to Available to receive calls.
- To change your status:
- Tap your initials in the top-right corner of the app.
- Use the dropdown menu to select a status (e.g., Not Available, Do Not Disturb).
- Adjust line settings to control which calls you receive. For example, you can enable your DDI line but disable the reception line.
Making Calls
- Tap the Phone icon in the bottom-right corner of the home screen.
- Use the dial pad or the company address book to place a call.
Windows App
Installing the Windows App
- Visit Xelion Apps.
- Download and install the Xelion 8 app.
- Contact ASK4 Solutions if admin permissions are required or issues arise.
Signing In
- Open the Xelion app and enter your credentials (username, password, hostname, tenant name).
- Click Log In.
- Confirm your status:
- Click your initials in the top-left corner.
- Choose Available or another appropriate status.
Note: Changes apply to all devices you’re logged into.
Adjusting Call Settings
- Go to Lines & Identity to manage which calls you receive.
- The In option enables calls on selected lines.
- Example: Disable reception calls during lunch by unticking the option.
- Under Phones, enable or disable devices as needed.
- Example: Enable calls on the Windows app but disable calls on your mobile.
Making Calls
- Click the Phone icon in the bottom-left corner.
- Use the dial pad or search for contacts in the company address book.
