Steps to Set Up macOS with Intune MDM
Step 1: Download the Company Portal App
- Download the Company Portal app from the Intune Enrollment Page.
- Open the downloaded file (CompanyPortal-installer.pkg) to begin installation.
- Follow the on-screen instructions:
- Click Continue and agree to the licensing agreement.
- On the Installation Type page, click Install.
- Continue until you see the message: The installation was successful.
Step 2: Enroll Your Mac
- Open the Company Portal app.
- Sign in with your work email account.
- Follow the on-screen instructions:
- Click Begin and then Continue until you reach the Install Management Profile page.
- Click Download Profile.
Step 3: Install the Management Profile
- A new macOS Settings window will open:
- Select the downloaded Management Profile.
- Click Install.
- Enter your device password when prompted.
- Click Enroll.
Step 4: Verify Enrollment
- Reopen the Company Portal app.
- Confirm there is a green checkmark next to Install Management Profile.
Resolving Device Setting Issues
- If any device settings do not comply with company policies:
- Click How to Resolve This in the Company Portal app.
